Thank you for requesting your favorite music! We love programming music that is meaningful to you.
Each week we look to the lectionary and match hymns to the assigned readings. We will get your requests in as they fit best into the liturgy, and we'll send you an email to let you know when your requests are programmed (as long as we are permitted to print it under our current copyright license).
See below to access indices for various hymnals, or click the link above if you're ready to make your hymn request.

Here is a comprehensive listing of Episcopal hymnals and supplements. You can click a hymnal's title to see its index, browse sections within each hymnal, search for numbers and titles, and you can even hear a sample of any hymn! This is a great tool. If you're a fellow music geek, you can get lost on this website for hours.

Hymnary.org is a fantastic site that has cataloged and indexed hymnals from all time periods and denominations. There are many, many hymns that can be found here which are in the public domain (meaning we don't have to worry about copyright issues).
Still can't find what you're looking for? Give us as much info as you can on the hymn or song you're having trouble locating. We'll put our music sleuths on it!
Missing old favorites from The Hymnal 1940?
No problem. We still have a few copies.
If you'd like to HEAR samples from this hymnal, you can go to this site. You'll be required to download a music player plug-in. You can also find links to the 1928 Prayer Book here and a boatload of other info around these two resources.
This is an excellent Taizé website with links to printed music and audio files. You can find just about anything Taizé -related you need here. St. Edward's has a long-standing tradition of incorporating the music of Taizé in stand-alone services. We'll also incorporate many songs and meditations from this tradition in our ordinary services throughout the year.
