It's important to read the instructions - the instructions are your FRIEND!
3 THINGS YOU NEED:
• 1.) 2 devices one to listen (with headphones) a smartphone, tablet or computer one to record on (with a microphone) a smartphone, tablet or computer • 2. ) Music (included in email) •3.) Vocal Guide (included in email) NOTE: You MUST use the guidetrack and sing WITH it (if your recording is too fast or too slow, sadly, we won't be able to to use it) |
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Use headphones so that the sound is something only YOU can hear. 2. Decide which device you will RECORD on. Make sure it has a microphone. Probably your cell phone works well for this, just use your VOICE MEMO app (iPhone) or your VOICE RECORDER app (Android). 3. Press RECORD in your application and get as close to it as you can. 4. Press PLAY on the device to which you connected the headphones. 5. Sing (or read) along with the sound file, recording only your voice. Listen carefully to the GUIDE TRACK and try to match the singer/reader (where are the breaths? how long are notes held? etc.). 6. If you make a mistake, delete and start again.7. When you hear your voice, you can feel embarrassed. (It is always very difficult for me to hear ONLY my voice divorced from the accompaniment). HAVE FAITH, however. 8. It will sound good when your voice mixes with everyone else's. After all, that's the choir (or congregational responses), right, when it's LIVE? Have faith. 9. Attach your recording to an email ([email protected]) OR send a text message to 404-376-5973. TIPS:
